Many of the products we sell carry a warranty. This page explains whose warranty it is, how to make a claim, and how a warranty sits alongside your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Whose warranty it is
Most warranties on the products we sell are given by the manufacturer or the brand rather than by Shoppers Spot. The period varies by product and by brand, and where a warranty applies it is normally stated on that product’s page. There is no single warranty period that applies across our range.
Where a product carries one of our own Shoppers brands, contact us directly and we will handle the claim ourselves.
Dolphy Tornado and Dolphy Compact hand dryers carry a five-year manufacturer warranty.
If you are not sure what warranty applies to something you have bought, email us with your order number and we will confirm it before you do anything else.
How to make a warranty claim
Email info@shoppersspot.com.au with your order number, a description of the fault, and photos or a short video if you can take them. We will identify the warranty that applies, take the claim up with the manufacturer where that is needed, and tell you what happens next — including whether the item has to come back and, if it does, where to send it. Please do not send anything back before we have authorised it.
If a fault appears within 30 days of delivery, you do not need to wait for a warranty claim: our refund policy covers it directly.
What a claim costs
What a claim costs you depends on the manufacturer and the product, so we will tell you at the point we authorise it rather than guess here. Within 30 days of delivery our refund policy already covers the cost of getting a faulty, damaged or incorrect item back to us. Nothing on this page affects your rights under the Australian Consumer Law, which are set out below.
The change-of-mind exclusions listed in our refund policy, including bulk and commercial-use products, apply to change-of-mind returns only. They do not affect a warranty claim or your rights under the Australian Consumer Law.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law
Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure and compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage. You are also entitled to have the goods repaired or replaced if the goods fail to be of acceptable quality and the failure does not amount to a major failure.
Any warranty given by a manufacturer is in addition to these rights, not instead of them.
Your rights under the Australian Consumer Law are not limited to the warranty period. A consumer guarantee lasts for as long as is reasonable given the type of product and what you paid for it, and that can be longer than the manufacturer’s warranty. If a warranty period has run out, contact us anyway — you may still have a remedy.
