How to choose a mini exercise bike

For under a desk or in front of the TV. The Everfit pedal exerciser comes in black and white. Both list adjustable resistance levels, a multi-function LED display, non-slip feet and a maximum load of 120kg. The black one measures 32x40x30cm and the white one 38x39x31cm.

For arms and legs. The Powertrain mini bike lists an adjustable resistance knob and adjustable foot straps, and the listing says it can be used as an arm pedaller. It measures 37 x 35 x 30cm, weighs 3.5kg and lists a tool kit and a 15-20 minute assembly.

For your own bicycle. The portable indoor trainer stand is a magnetic stand with 6 levels of resistance and a foldable design, listed for bikes with 700C wheels. It has a triangular frame and non-slip feet.

Are these full-size exercise bikes?

No. The Everfit and Powertrain products are mini pedal exercisers, and the fourth listing is a trainer stand that holds your own bicycle. The page lists no full-size upright or recumbent bike.

What does the display show?

The Everfit LED display lists time, distance, count, total count and calories. The Powertrain LCD screen lists distance, time, count, total count and calories.

Can a pedal exerciser be used at a desk?

The Everfit listing describes keeping active while sitting at a desk or watching TV, and the Powertrain listing says it can be used from a regular chair, a settee or while lying on the floor.

What is the weight limit?

Both Everfit listings give a maximum load of 120kg and the trainer stand lists a weight capacity of 150kg. The Powertrain listing does not state a limit.

Do the pedal exercisers need assembly?

The black Everfit listing says it comes fully assembled. The Powertrain listing says the main body is pre-assembled and that minor assembly takes 15-20 minutes, with a tool kit and an AAA battery in the contents.
