Towel Rails & Robe Hooks

Towel rails dry a towel, towel rings hold a hand towel and robe hooks store a robe or towel. This page has wall-mounted Dolphy towel rails, towel rings and robe hooks in stainless steel, electric heated towel rails from Devanti and Shoppers Home, bamboo towel rails, and a freestanding bamboo and metal towel rack.

How to choose a towel rail or robe hook

Rail, ring or hook. A rail spreads a bath towel out so it can dry. A ring is sized for a hand towel and will not dry a bath sheet. A hook is storage rather than drying.

Width. The Dolphy single towel rail is 600mm wide and 75mm deep. The Dolphy double towel rail is 600mm wide and 110mm deep, with two rails. The Clevinger bamboo towel rail lists 60 cm between fixings and comes as a pack of 2.

Heated or not. A heated towel rail plugs into the wall and warms the towel. The Devanti 6 Round Bars with Timer rail has 2/4-hour timer settings and a 40-55 degree range. The 8 Square Bars with Timer rail lists the same timer and range. The Devanti 5 bar rail lists 80W and a 40 to 50 degree range. The Shoppers Home 20 bar rack is 220W, made of aluminium and folds for storage. The Devanti 14 bar listing says not to run it from an extension cord.

Fixing. The Dolphy towel rails, towel ring and robe hooks have a concealed screw fix. The black round towel ring sticks on with adhesive and needs no drilling. The bamboo and metal rack is freestanding, which suits a rental.
