    Measuring for drop

    Measure the table top and add twice the drop you want on each side - 20cm is right for everyday and 30cm or more reads as formal. Cutwork and embroidered cloths want a cold gentle wash and a warm iron on the reverse while slightly damp; pressing embroidery face-up from the front is what flattens the pattern.
