A wall-mounted soap dispenser holds liquid soap, sanitiser, shampoo or lotion on the wall and gives a measured dose each time it is used. How to choose a wall mounted soap dispenser

Clear and transparent models show the level at a glance. Stainless steel stands up to heavy use and cleaning chemicals, while ABS is easy to wipe and comes in black, white, brown and clear. Many models take liquid soap, shampoo, conditioner or lotion, and several also take sanitiser, so one style can run through a whole bathroom.

What can I put in a wall mounted soap dispenser?

The listings name liquid soap, shampoo, conditioner and lotion, and many also name sanitiser, hand wash, shower gel or moisturiser. Check the product page for the liquids a particular dispenser is listed for.

How much soap does a dispenser give per press?

Most listings state 1 to 1.5 ml per press or per use, and a few of the automatic dispensers state 1.5 ml.

Should I choose a manual or an automatic soap dispenser?

A manual dispenser is a pump on the wall and needs no power. An automatic touch-free dispenser starts when its infrared sensor sees a hand and runs on four C-size batteries, which are not included. The automatic dispensers on this page are 1000 ml ABS units, including a foam dispenser.

What size soap dispenser do I need?

The capacities on this page are 200 ml, 300 ml, 360 ml, 500 ml, 800 ml, 1000 ml, 1100 ml, 1200 ml and 1400 ml, and the table above lists each one.

Can a commercial soap dispenser be locked?

Yes. The 800 ml Plaza dispensers and the 1000 ml ABS dispensers, manual and automatic, list a key lock system, which stops the reservoir being opened without the key.

Is a stainless steel or plastic soap dispenser better?

Stainless steel is the choice for heavy use and cleaning chemicals, and the 304 stainless steel models include the 500 ml, 1000 ml, 1100 ml, 1200 ml and 1400 ml. ABS dispensers are easy to wipe and come in clear, black, white and brown.

Is there a soap dispenser for foaming soap?

Yes. The foam dispensers on this page are 1000 ml ABS units: an automatic touchless model in black or white, which runs on four C-size batteries that are not included, and a manual model in black. Can a soap dispenser be used for hand sanitiser?

Most of these can. Sanitiser is named in the listings of nearly every dispenser here. The exceptions are the 300 ml clear dispensers DSDR0148 and DSDR0149 and the 360 ml brown and white dispensers DSDR0159 and DSDR0160, whose listings name liquids such as soap, shampoo and shower gel instead.

Can I use a wall mounted soap dispenser in the kitchen?

Yes. Many of the listings name kitchens as well as bathrooms, among them the 500 ml dispensers, the 1000 ml stainless steel dispensers, most of the 300 ml and 1000 ml manual ABS dispensers and several of the automatic ones.
