A heat-resistant holder is the point: putting a warm iron on a plastic hook is how they melt and how laundries catch fire. Wall mounting gets the board off the floor of a small laundry and out of a guest room wardrobe, where it usually falls over. Check the board width against the cradle before fitting, since wide boards do not sit in a narrow holder.
