Check the pocket depth

Pocket depth decides whether a fitted sheet stays on, and it matters more than thread count. Where a listing gives a wall depth here, it is most often 40cm; the Accessorize mega and super fitted sheets list 50cm, the Ramesses Teddy fleece and 1000TC linen bamboo combo sets 35cm, and two Essentially Home Living sheets 36cm and 33cm. If you use a topper, include it. Measure your mattress from the base of the side wall to the top of anything sitting on it, and buy for that figure rather than the size name.

Fitted sheet or fitted sheet set

A fitted sheet on its own covers the mattress. Fabrics

Bamboo blends. Accessorize lists its 400TC bamboo cotton fitted sheets as 60% bamboo and 40% cotton. Ramesses lists its 2000TC bamboo embossed combo sets as 20% bamboo and 80% microfibre polyester, and its 1000TC linen bamboo combo sets as 30% linen and 70% bamboo.

Cotton. Ramesses lists 1500TC Elite combo sets in 100% Egyptian cotton sateen and a 475TC Egyptian cotton fitted sheet. Shoppers Home lists 1000TC Egyptian cotton sets and a 100% cotton fitted sheet, and ICF Store lists cotton flannel combo sets.

Microfibre, satin and fleece. The Shoppers Home hotel fitted sheets are microfibre, and LinenCart lists brushed microfibre sheets. Ramesses lists Casablanca satin combo sets in 100% polyester and Teddy fleece combo sets in 100% microfibre, and the Shoppers Home satin sheet sets are polyester microfibre satin.
